DDOSC opens AY 2024 with over seven thousand enrollees

Davao de Oro State College opened its doors anew to 7,456 students for the first semester of the Academic Year (AY) 2024-2025, according to a recent report from the Admission and Student Records Unit.

The Compostela (Main) Campus continues to be the largest hub for students, with 3,361 enrollees, making up 45.06% of the total student population.

Following this, the Maragusan branch recorded 1,535 enrollees (20.57%), the Montevista branch with 1,332 enrollees (17.85%), the New Bataan branch with 1,028 enrollees (13.78%), and Laak Extension Class with 200 enrollees (2.73%).

“We are delighted to welcome our students to DDOSC. Upholding our Quality Policy Statement, DDOSC remains committed to providing future-ready and high-standard educational services,” said DDOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay.

Dr. Matunhay further emphasized the college’s commitment to accommodating all eligible enrollees to its full carrying capacity.

In terms of academic programs, the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship emerged as the most popular course across all campuses, with 3,392 enrollees.

This is followed by the Bachelor of Secondary Education with 1,580 enrollees, the Bachelor of Agricultural Technology/Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with 1,081 enrollees, the Bachelor of Elementary Education with 773 enrollees, and the Bachelor of Science in Criminology with 630 enrollees.

With a diverse range of programs and a growing student body, DDOSC continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Davao de Oro with its dedicated administration, faculty, and staff.
