Dr. Matunhay takes oath as DDOPO Advisory Council Member

Davao de Oro State College President Dr. Lilybeth Matunhay attended the inaugural Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office (DDOPO) Advisory Group Summit on August 30, 2024, at the Comval Hotel in Nabunturan, where she was sworn in as a member of the DDOPO Advisory Council.
 
The DDOPO Advisory Council, which includes Provincial and Municipal Advisory Groups for Police Transformation and Development (MAGPTD), is an initiative aimed at fostering close collaboration between the police force and the community.
 
During the event, Dr. Matunhay also received a Plaque of Appreciation on behalf of DDOSC, recognizing the College’s commitment to supporting the programs and initiatives of the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office.
 
Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, Dr. Matunhay pledged to continue the College’s cooperation with the police force and become an active partner of the DDOPO.
In addition, the DDOPO acknowledged the DDOSC research study titled “Police Work Performance in Davao de Oro: A Community Trust and Satisfaction Survey” for its significant contribution to the development of Philippine National Police programs and policies.
 
The research team from DDOSC included Diosdado H. Cruz, Jr., Joy T. Mosquiter, Maida Mae B. Calpo, Mico Benjo V. Novecio, and Arvin John Abadiez, with data gathering supported by the entire Criminology Department.
