Outstanding employees feted in PCSA Culmination Program

To celebrate the teaching and non-teaching personnel who showed excellence in civil service in the past year, Davao de Oro State College held the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary Culmination at the DDOSC Activity Center.

Through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellece (PRAISE) System, the activity recognized employees who exemplified creativity, innovativeness, efficiency, and productivity in public service.

In his opening message, Kim F. Baloca, CPA, Chief for Administration and Finance, recalled the humble beginnings of DDOSC and commended the dedication and hard work of all personnel who have played a key role in the institution’s growth and success.

In the Teaching Category, Jeson N. Geroche, Jay Mark O. Bantayan, Arnel T. Serentas, and Dr. Gabrele D. Cubero were recognized as Best Employees, with Mr. Bantayan receiving the top honor as Best Teaching Personnel college-wide.

Meanwhile, for the Non-Teaching Category, Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay and Mr. Ernan Leal were acknowledged for their outstanding service, with Dr. Matunhay named the Best Non-Teaching Employee College-wide.

Dr. Cubero, Dr. Rica Y. Pailago, Dr. Robegin C. Campomayor, and Dr. Jade Mark C. Salubre received of the Career and Self-Development Award, while Dr. Cubero and Loren P. Sangco were honored as the Achievement Awardees.

Special Awards for Excellence for the Non-Teaching Category were given to Joel C. Cafe (Non-Clerical) and Eleuterio C. Ubalde III (Clerical), while Judie R. Daniola-Alquiza took home the Special Award for Excellence for Teaching Category (COS).

Additionally, employees who showed positive action and responsiveness to stakeholders and colleagues were given the Gantimpala Agad Award.

Guest Speaker Leilani C. Parel, Acting Director II of the Civil Service Commission Field Office in Davao de Oro, emphasized the importance of upholding integrity and maintaining productivity in the service of the public during her address to the attendees.

For the ‘Ang Masinop’ Awards, the Academic Services Division and Cashiering Unit from DDOSC Montevista reigned supreme, with the BEEd-Montevista Branch Office taking home the Best Office Award.

Longest tenured employees were also recognized with the Loyalty Award, which included Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay, Leizel P. Tagra, Renato L. Ego-ogan, and Jessie P. Burog.

To round out the night, Benjamin O. Damuag was hailed as the Service Awardee and Dr. Christie Jean V. Ganiera, CESE, was given the Milestone Achievement Award.
