CHED-OPKRM descends on DDOSC for IDIG terminal monitoring visit

The Commission on Higher Education, through the Office of Planning, Research and Knowledge Management (OPRKM), visited Davao de Oro State College today, March 27, 2025, for the terminal monitoring visit of the latter’s three existing Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (IDIG).
Among the IDIG that underwent monitoring were:
- Food Innovation Center Project worth Php9.8M led by Dr. Jade Mark Salubre
- Borderless Teaching and Learning worth Php9.4M with project leader Dr. Gloryjean C. Altamera
- ComposteLab headed by project leader Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay.
The multi-million project aims to bolster micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the agriculture sector while enhancing educational innovation within the province.
The CHED delegation was led by Ms. Mayumi Belandres, OIC Chief of OPRKM-Research Management Division, and included Diana Aguilar, Chief Administrative Officer, Administrative, Financial, and Management Service-Budget Division, Edralinda Fuentebella, OIC Chief, AFMS-General Services Division, Myra Paz Manalo, Chief Accountant, Higher Education Development Fund Secretariat, Gerhald Villasis, Senior Education Program Specialist, and Jeannine Francienne Corpuz, Professional Technical Staff II.
DDOSC President and Project Leader Dr. Matunhay welcomed the team and facilitated the inspection of the newly established COMPOSTELAB facilities.
The monitoring visit included a review of equipment procurement and project documentation for all three projects. Additionally, live demonstrations were conducted on how the DDOSC Fabrication Laboratory supports agriculture-focused MSMEs and student training, led by COMPOSTELAB in-charge Brennan Jay C. Cortado.
