Dr. Matunhay, QAU Head Complete AUN-QA Training Course

Davao de Oro State College President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay and Quality Assurance Unit Head Nova Mae B. Nasol represented the College in the 25th ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Training Course for Accomplishing Program Assessment, Version 4.0, held on July 22-25, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The AUN-QA aims to harmonize educational standards and seek continuous improvement of the academic quality of universities in the ASEAN region.

Furthermore, the participants engaged in sessions covering the AUN-QA program assessment process, key evaluation criteria, the application of AUN-QA standards to academic programs, and gap analysis techniques for institutional development.

In a message, Dr. Matunhay highlighted the strategic importance of the training for DDOSC’s ongoing quality assurance initiatives.

“This training provided us with fresh insights and practical tools that will significantly enhance our internal quality assurance practices and processes as we prepare for relevant accreditation and recertification bodies,” Dr. Matunhay said.

Meanwhile, QAU Head Nasol expressed her enthusiasm as she envisions the various aspects to which she can apply the lessons learned to further elevate the standards of academic and administrative operations at the College.

This international training paves the way for the institution to elevate its quality assurance initiatives and, in the near future, stand at par with its neighbors in Southeast Asia and beyond.
