DDOSC Heads Join PASUC-backed Micro-Credentialing Masterclass

Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay joined other bigwigs from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) within the region as they completed the CertiPHy: A Masterclass on Micro-Credentials training held at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), Davao City.
The two-day training, which ran from August 7-8, 2025, provided an orientation and practical workshop designed to help higher education institutions (HEIs) initiate or improve their micro-credential programs.
Specifically, the masterclass offered in-depth discussions on creating micro-credentials, covering aspects such as curriculum design, competency mapping, digital badges, learner assessment, and quality assurance processes.
Joining Dr. Matunhay as representatives of Davao de Oro State College were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Gloryjean C. Altamera, Academic Services Division Director Dr. Pedro P. Raymunde, Jr., and Entrepreneurship Program Focal Dr. Robegin C. Campomayor.
This initiative is also a direct continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that was signed by ten (10) Philippine Higher Education Institutions during the academic mission to China in April 2025.
Organized by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges – Region XI (PASUC-XI), the activity gathered educational leaders from SUCs in Region XI, including DDOSC, USeP, Davao del Norte State College, Davao del Sur State College, Davao Oriental State University, and Southern Philippines Agri-business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology.
