DDOSC Personnel Take Part in Tree Nurturing Activity

In partnership with the Department of Science and Technology XI, teaching and non-teaching personnel of Davao de Oro State College engage in a Tree Nurturing Activity today, August 15, 2025, at the DDOSC Maparat Farm Extension, Maparat, Compostela.

As part of the ongoing Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW), the activity centered on cleaning and clearing the surroundings of trees planted last year to improve their growth.

Leading the 35-member DDOSC delegation was Engr. Gedrick M. Baliog, head of the General Services Unit.

“I sincerely thank all participants. Planting these trees is just the beginning; their continued care will ensure a flourishing future for generations to come.”

The initiative also forms part of the College’s Ecological Solid Waste Management program, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.

Meanwhile, the Davao de Oro leg of the RSTW is slated for August 20–22, 2025, at Compostela National High School.
