DDOSC, DOST-XI Ink MOA for Innovation Hub in Davao de Oro

Davao de Oro State College and the Department of Science and Technology Region XI formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment of the Davao de Oro Innovation Hub (iHUB) on August 22, 2025.
DOST describes the iHUB as “a dedicated space where students, professionals, researchers, and startup enthusiasts can gather to brainstorm, collaborate, and transform ideas into impactful solutions.”
DDOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay and Provincial Science and Technology Director Ms. Mayan Jane J. Inni, PFT, led the MOA signing of the project, which will feature a co-working environment that includes a creative space, research nook, huddle space, and pantry designed to foster innovation, productivity, and meaningful collaboration.
The event served as one of the highlights of the Davao de Oro leg of the Regional Science and Technology Week, which ran from August 20-22, 2025, at the Compostela National High School.
After the ceremonial signing, the writers of the Science, Technology, and Innovation Plan were recognized for their significant contributions in crafting the province’s innovation roadmap.
Capping the event, DOST-XI proudly honored Ms. Jemima Keziah N. Castro, a DOST scholar and DDOSC alumna, for ranking Top 3 in the March 2025 Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers.
