Davao de Oro State College, through the General Services Unit led by Engr. Gedrick M. Baliog, in partnership with the Environmental Management Bureau Region XI (EMB), hosted an Environmental Awareness Symposium today, September 15, 2025, in celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

The event focused on the role public servants play in advancing sustainability initiatives and safeguarding the environment for future generations.

Resource Speaker Environmental Monitoring Officer Mr. Jesrele C. Dusol of EMB XI, a DDOSC alumnus, shared practical measures on waste management and environmental protection.

“As waste generators, the least we can do is to properly segregate our wastes.” Mr. Dusol reminded DDOSCians, calling on everyone to take part in collective responsibility in building a cleaner and healthier future.

Through this initiative, DDOSC reaffirmed its commitment to cultivating environmental consciousness among its students, faculty, staff, and broader community stakeholders.
