Davao de Oro State College President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay joined the pre-plenary hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) on September 23, 2025, at the Nograles Plenary Session Hall, Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.

The House Committee on Appropriations gathered SUC presidents and officials from across the country, with the Davao Region bigwigs attending the session in full force.

The hearing began with a presentation by PASUC National President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo on the consolidated SUC budget, followed by regional presentations.

Representing Region XI was Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, PASUC Regional Chair and President of Davao del Norte State College.

Dr. Matunhay was joined by Budgeting Unit Head, Ms. Aimee Lyn M. Torreon, in support of the College’s budget proposal and the collective efforts of SUCs nationwide.
