Employees from all branches of Davao de Oro State College gathered at the DDOSC Activity Center to conclude the month-long celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on September 29, 2025.

The event carried the theme “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.”

Administrative Services Director Janice C. Hermosilla opened the program by reminding everyone that the celebration honored not only individual achievements but also the collective efforts of public servants.

Guest speaker Davao de Oro Provincial Governor Hon. Raul G. Mabanglo expressed his full support for government workers, saying, “I am here not just to celebrate with you but to assure you of my commitment. Together, we can achieve more through excellence.” He also encouraged everyone to strive for better governance, promote peace, and cultivate a culture of efficiency, adding, “You have a province that believes in each of you.”

DDOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay delivered a heartfelt message, reminding everyone of the moral duty that comes with public service. She concluded by saying, “As one DDOSC family, may we choose to be grateful, respectful, and life-giving. Let us continue to live out puso, dangal, at galing in our daily service, and celebrate the joy of knowing that every act of kindness, every honest effort, and every sacrifice brings us closer to the nation we dream of.”

The celebration also featured the PRAISE Awarding Ceremony, recognizing outstanding employees for exemplary performance and honoring those who have reached ten years of service at DDOSC.

Lively inter-campus competitions highlighted the event, including vocal solo and duet performances and a colorful folk dance competition.

The day ended with a festive Salo-Salo, fostering camaraderie and gratitude among all employees.
