DOST XI ignites technological revolution in RSTW 2025
Davao City became the epicenter of technological innovation in September when the Department of Science and Technology (DOST XI) hosted the 2025 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW), held from September 25 to 27 at Abreeza Ayala Malls.
The event showcased groundbreaking regional innovations under the theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan: Building Smart and Sustainable Communities,” highlighting the critical role of science and technology in advancing societal development.
The three-day event provided a comprehensive exploration of technological advancements, featuring interactive exhibits, project launches, and a technology pitching competition.
Regional scientists, researchers, and technopreneurs showcased their latest breakthroughs, providing stakeholders and the public with insights into cutting-edge innovations that address contemporary challenges.
A significant highlight was the launching of Region XI Innovation Hubs, accompanied by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an exhibit tour that provided attendees with a glimpse into the future of technological progress.
Additionally, a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between DOST XI and the Multi-Sectoral Governance Council (MSGC) symbolized a collaborative approach to strategic innovation.
