DDOSC Strengthens Global Ties at Presidents Forum in Malaysia
Davao de Oro State College continues to maintain its presence in the international academic arena as SUC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay, alongside Internationalization Unit Head Karesha Faith C. Cañetan, represented the institution at the 14th Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) University Presidents Forum on October 7-8, 2025, at the Persada International Convention Centre in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Themed “Navigating the Intelligent Age for Global University Excellence,” the forum gathered university executives, policymakers, and leaders from around the world, providing a venue for high-level dialogue on fostering resilient, inclusive, and future-ready academic institutions.
On the first day, Dr. Matunhay and the rest of the delegates participated in dialogues for potential academic collaborations.
Meanwhile, Ms. Cañetan formally submitted the Letter of Intent to collaborate with UTM for future academic and research endeavors.
Additionally, she participated in sessions exploring global linkages, international mobility, and collaborative research initiatives to broaden international engagement opportunities for DDOSC faculty and students.
The second day of the forum focused on concerted engagements where Dr. Matunhay joined fellow university presidents in a roundtable summit discussion.
