DDOSC joins 1st DSFC 2025

Davao de Oro State College participated in the First Davao Sustainable Futures Conference (DSFC) 2025, themed “Futuring Together: Breaking Grounds, Shaping Directions”, from October 29 to 30, 2025 at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.

Hosted by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Region XI, the pioneering conference convened sustainability advocates, leaders, researchers, and higher education institutions across Mindanao to explore forward-looking strategies that advance sustainability in education, governance, and community development.

The morning sessions featured two parallel pre-conference skills-building lectures designed to enhance participants with essential research and academic tools. Dr. Leticia S. dos Muchangos discussed how to choose the right publication outlets, while Dr. Exequil C. Cabanda tackled how to navigate reviews.

Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Daniel Fritz Silvallana shared insights on securing both short- and long-term international fellowships and scholarships, followed by Dr. Girley S. Gumanao, who emphasized building sustainable connections for impact.

Later this afternoon, participants will hear from distinguished Japanese professors Prof. Masako Ishii of Rikkyo University and Prof. Hiromi Yokoyama of the University of Tokyo.
