DDOSC officially recommended for ISO 9001:2015 recertification
Following two days of rigorous evaluation across all campuses, the Worldwide Quality Assurance (WQA) formally recommended Davao de Oro State College for recertification under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
The audit, conducted from October 27 to 28, 2025, was led by WQA team leader Nellie Ang together with members Kristine Villaruel and Homer Alcon.
The triumvirate assessed the College’s compliance, efficiency, and continual improvement mechanisms under its established QMS framework.
In its report, the WQA team found no major non-conformity, and commended DDOSC for several best practices observed during the audit.
These included Document Control; Customer Focus; Change Management; Training Management; Deviation and Nonconformance Management; Complaint Management; Preventive and Corrective Action Management; Infrastructure, Equipment, and Environment Management; Supplier Management; Risk Management; and Audit and Inspection Management.
After the release of the findings, DDOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay congratulated the faculty and staff, particularly the Quality Assurance Unit headed by Nova Mae B. Nasol, for leading the successful recertification process.
“This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality service and continuous improvement,” Dr. Matunhay stressed.
“It reflects the dedication of every DDOSC employee in upholding our standards that ensure excellence in every facet of our academic community.”
Meanwhile, Quality Assurance Head Nova Mae B. Nasol expressed her gratitude to the administration and all personnel who supported the College’s QMS initiatives.
“This achievement is not just a validation of our systems, but of our people who consistently strive for excellence,” she remarked.
“Our collective effort, from the faculty and staff to the internal auditors, made this possible, and we remain committed to sustaining a culture of quality in all that we do.”
During the opening program, Ang noted that the audit covers the provision of higher education programs, encompassing undergraduate instruction, research and extension, production, and student and support services.
