Davao de Oro State College Seals New Batch of Institutionally-Funded Research Projects Through Series of MOA Signings

The Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC) strengthened its commitment to research excellence through a series of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signings with faculty researchers for institutionally funded studies. The ceremonies were held across multiple campuses from November 10 to 28, 2025.

The first signing took place on November 10, 2025, at the Research, Development, Extension, and Production (RDEP) Office in the Maragusan Branch, followed by two additional signings on November 11, 2025, one at the Library of the New Bataan Branch and another at the Administration Office of the Montevista Branch. The final round of MOA signing was conducted on November 28, 2025, at the Fabrication Laboratory of the Main Campus.

Mr. Eric D. Palmerola, Head of the Research and Development Unit, formally opened each session with a discussion of the MOA content, emphasizing researchers’ responsibilities, deliverables, and the college’s support mechanisms. His presentation ensured that all project leaders were fully oriented on the terms, expectations, and guidelines governing their respective research engagements.

The MOA signing proper was then officiated by Mr. Jupite Mark U. Banayag, MSc, Director of the Research and Development Division, who represented the college in formalizing its partnership with the researchers. The agreements mark DDOSC’s continued investment in research initiatives that aim to address local needs, contribute to academic advancement, and support evidence-based community development.

Following the signing, researchers were given time to present updates on their ongoing studies, allowing the division to assess progress and offer technical guidance. To culminate each event, Mr. Orville J. Evardo Jr., Head of the Research Publication Unit, together with Mr. Chrizon Rian S. Cubio, Research Publication Staff, delivered a presentation on the college’s research publication initiatives and updates.

The MOA signing series demonstrates DDOSC’s strengthened commitment to advancing a vibrant research culture across all its branches. By supporting faculty-led studies and providing structured pathways toward publication, the College continues to elevate its role as a leading research institution in the Davao de Oro province.
