Entrep Dept. hosts Microenterprise training
Do more marketing. Be consistent. Sell benefits, not just features. These were among the key reminders highlighted in the Microenterprise Advancement Training hosted by the Entrepreneurship Department of Davao de Oro State College on December 4, 2025, at the Main Campus Activity Center.
The extension activity, led by Entrepreneurship Department faculty Leo E. Wenceslao, MBA., Wendy C. Licayan, MBA., and Jade Mark C. Salubre, PhD., gathered local business owners and the Entrepreneurship Department students for a comprehensive lecture titled “Microenterprise Advancement: From Social Impact to Marketing and Service Mastery.” The event was also broadcast live on Facebook to broaden student and community reach.
Three resource persons delivered focused sessions on strengthening microenterprise performance. Cheri-Lou R. Aranjuez, MPA, discussed how community challenges can serve as starting points for viable business opportunities. Allimar M. Nuevo, PhD., CGSP, examined customer experience enhancement and scaling pathways for microenterprise sustainability. Ninio B. Manialag, MBA, provided practical strategies on digital marketing tailored for small businesses.
The training aimed to build participants’ competencies in identifying community-based business opportunities and applying effective digital marketing techniques.
