DdOSC holds Career Orientation Program across Compostela high schools

With graduation season on the horizon, Davao de Oro State College – Main Campus conducted a three-day School Campaign for Grade 12 senior high school students across the Municipality of Compostela from December 10 to 12, 2025.

The initiative aimed to guide graduating students by providing comprehensive information on DdOSC’s academic programs and potential career pathways aligned with their interests and goals.

Meanwhile, the activity was spearheaded by the Student Welfare Unit through the Career and Job Placement Section, headed by Judalyn J. Forro, RPsy, RPm.

Representatives from various academic departments also supported the activity, including Richel Jann M. Valmoria, MAEd, LPT, for the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED); Michelle Emia, LPT, for the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED); Gemalyn L. Baray for Entrepreneurship; Jermely Requina, R.Agri, for Agriculture; and Norlyn P. Torres, RCrim, for Criminology.

The participation from the different programs and departments ensured that students received accurate, program-specific insights to aid in informed decision-making regarding their future education and careers.

Further assisting the participants, Iah May Bulawan, LPT, discussed the College Admission Test application process and clarified the documentary requirements, addressing common concerns of prospective applicants.

The Career Orientation Program reached several public and private secondary schools in Compostela, namely Bango National High School, Consuelo M. Valderrama National High School, Diosdado Macapagal National High School, Corazon C. Aquino National High School, San Miguel High School, Compostela National High School, Gabi National High School, Siocon National High School, Maparat National High School, Compostela Christian School, and Assumption Academy of Compostela.
