DOLE XI honors DdOSC for exemplary job placement initiatives
In recognition of the institution’s efforts to facilitate job opportunities for its alumni and the local communities, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office XI, in coordination with the Public Employment Services Office Managers Association of the Philippines (PESOMAP), awarded Davao de Oro State College for its Job Placement efforts during the 3rd Regional PESO Congress on November 27–28, 2025, at Big 8 Hotel, Digos City, Davao del Sur.
DdOSC, through its Career and Job Placement Office, received three citations: the Private Employment Institutions (PEIs) Active Utilization Award, Outstanding Job Fair Implementation Award, and Top Performer for Career Guidance and Employment Coaching Award.
Moreover, the awards underscored the College’s sustained efforts to connect graduates and community members with employment opportunities and labor market services.
Judalyn J. Forro, MPsych, Career and Job Placement Section Head, expressed appreciation to DOLE XI and PESOMAP for the recognition, citing it as affirmation of the College’s commitment to responsive and inclusive employment facilitation.
“The awards reflect the collective efforts of the institution and all our partners in strengthening career guidance, employer linkages, and workforce readiness,” stressed Ms. Forro.
The 3rd Regional PESO Congress served as a platform to assess the 2025 performance of Public Employment Service Offices across Region XI and to recognize outstanding PESOs for delivering effective employment services to their respective constituents.
It also provided an avenue to review strategies and best practices in implementing DOLE-initiated employment programs and services, aimed at improving efficiency, reach, and impact at the local level.
