DdOSC fetes top students for AY 2025-2026

Recognizing academic excellence and perseverance, Davao de Oro State College (DdOSC), through its Academic Services Division, honored outstanding students from the Main Campus during the Reading of Honor Students for the first semester of Academic Year 2025–2026 on February 10, 2026, at the DdOSC Activity Center.

A total of 516 students earned places on the Dean’s List, meeting the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement of 2.0 (90%) with no grade lower than 2.5 (85%).

Meanwhile, 124 students qualified for the Vice President’s List, posting a GPA of at least 1.7 (93%) with the same grade floor.

At the highest level of distinction, three students attained the President’s List, each achieving a GPA of 1.4 (96%) with no grade below 2.5 (85%). They were Jope D. Bodongan and Maxcel J. Rejas, both from the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, and Joshua P. Espinosa of the Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

In her message, DdOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay congratulated the awardees, noting that their accomplishments were forged through sacrifice, discipline, and countless sleepless nights.

Additionally, she described the recognition as the “harvest” of what students had diligently “sown,” underscoring the province of Davao de Oro’s fertile soil for nurturing academic excellence.

Meanwhile, Academic Services Division Director Dr. Pedro P. Raymunde Jr. encouraged honorees to dream boldly, remain grounded, serve with humility, and lead with purpose as they continue their academic journeys.

Beyond institutional recognition, Raymunde announced incentives for honorees, stating that students who reached at least the Dean’s List will receive discounts from partner establishments, including 5h Café, SM Food House, Bean Here Café, Gulp N’ Burp, Tito J A-forda-bowls, Java Max, West Street Food Quest, Loureese Food House, A&N Milktea House Compostela, and Jaaz Food House.

Also present at the ceremony were Vice President for Academic Affairs Gloryjean C. Altamera, along with deans, program heads, and program coordinators from the Main Campus.
