DdOSC ROTC posts 95% rating in Fancy Drill tilt
Davao de Oro State College Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (DdOSC ROTC) showcased discipline and synchronized drill skills during the first 11th Regional Community Defense Group ROTC Fancy Drill Competition on March 12, 2026 at the DdOSC Main Campus.
The DdOSC ROTC Unit achieved a 95% overall rating, reflecting the cadets’ high level of preparedness, discipline, and commitment to excellence in training.
Part of the array of activities in celebration of the ROTC Month, the event served as a platform for cadets to demonstrate their mastery of drills and ceremonies while strengthening advocacy for the ROTC program among participating institutions and stakeholders.
In his welcome remarks, Criminology Department Program Head John Mark C. Poquita, MSCJ, highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork, and leadership among cadets, emphasizing that activities such as the fancy drill competition reinforce the values cultivated through ROTC training.
Meanwhile, Dr. Gloryjean C. Altamera, Vice President for Academic Affairs, underscored the College’s continued support for initiatives that foster leadership development, patriotism, and civic responsibility among the youth.
Representing the military sector, Col Romeo N Bautista III INF (GSC) PA, Chairman, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (ADC for RRA), 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, commended the participating DdOSC cadets for their dedication and discipline, noting that ROTC remains a vital program in shaping young leaders and strengthening the spirit of national service.
Through initiatives such as the fancy drill competition, DdOSC continues to support programs that cultivate leadership, unity, and patriotism among students while reinforcing the partnership between higher education institutions and the Philippine Army.
