NIA-DDO, DDOSC hold file management training for local irrigators
The Capacity Building on Records and File Management was successfully conducted on September 18–19, 2025, at the Farmers Training Center, DDOSC–Maparat, Compostela, Davao de Oro, in partnership with the National Irrigation Administration (NIA)–Davao de Oro.
The two-day training, delivered in two batches, provided Irrigators Associations (IAs) with focused learning sessions designed to address the challenges of systematic and accurate documentation—an essential tool for efficient operations, transparency, and compliance with institutional requirements.
Through lectures, guided discussions, and hands-on workshops facilitated by NIA representatives and DDOSC faculty members, participants enhanced their knowledge on records and file management, filing systems, and practical approaches to organizing and safeguarding documents.
Each batch also engaged in workshops where they prepared sample records and developed documentation systems tailored to their associations. Their outputs reflected not only their grasp of the concepts but also their ability to apply them to real-world operations.
This initiative strengthens the IAs’ capacity to implement standardized documentation practices, ultimately supporting transparency, accountability, and sustainability in the management of irrigation operations under the Manat National Irrigation Project (NIP).
