DDOSC hailed as ‘Most Livable College’ in MOSLIV Awards 2025

True to its monicker as the cradle of golden opportunities, Davao de Oro State College made its mark as it was recognized as ‘Certified Most Sustainable and Livable College’ during the 8th Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards Gala on March 21, 2025, at the Okada Manila, Parañaque City.

DDOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay personally accepted the award, which acknowledges the college’s unwavering commitment and continuous efforts to promote sustainability both within its campus and in the broader community.

Themed “The Rise of Agroecology: Regenerating Soil and Feeding the World,” this year’s awards ceremony celebrated innovation and dedication to environmental and social progress from different sectors across the nation.

Dr. Matunhay was joined by College and Board Secretary Jay-R R. Tayaban and Information Officer I Ron Gerard Celada during the event.

In her message, Dr. Matunhay emphasized the commitment of the DDOSC community, through its research, extension, production, and other divisions, to sustainability in shaping a better future for generations to come.

The 2025 MOSLIV Awards brought together over 1,200 distinguished guests, including government officials, business leaders, philanthropists, and sustainability advocates.

DDOSC was among the 80 individuals and organizations honored for their outstanding contributions to governance, social responsibility, and environmental conservation, highlighting their transformative impact on society.

In a press release, Sustainability Standards, Inc., the organization behind the MOSLIV awards, stated that the event honors exceptional initiatives that promote sustainable and livable environments and that the “MOSLIV awardees demonstrate a commitment to smarter, sustainable, and greener communities.”
