DDOSC Opens Anniversary Celebration with Mass, Motorcade

Clad in pristine white attire, the faculty, staff, and students of Davao de Oro State College kicked off the 12th Founding Anniversary Celebration with a Thanksgiving Mass and Motorcade today, May 28, 2025.

The day began with a solemn Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Benjamin V. Lucena, Jr. at the DDOSC Activity Center, where the attendees brought offerings in cash and kind.

The Thanksgiving Mass signifies the College’s gratitude for the 12 eventful years full of growth, memories, and accomplishments.

After the mass, the DDOSC employees and students from across all campuses took part in the motorcade, bringing out the liveliness and excitement of the Founding Anniversary festivities to the streets of Compostela, Davao de Oro.

Following the motorcade, a short opening program was held at the DDOSC Activity Center, highlighted by performances from the Koro de Oro and the Sining Dayong Artists Dance Ensemble.

During the program, DDOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay formally declared the opening of the 12th Founding Anniversary.

With the theme “DOSEnang Taon: Nurturing Excellence, Upholding Integrity, and Strengthening Solidarity,” the weeklong celebration promises a full slate of activities, including a Job Fair, Fun Games, Sports Competitions, Docena Fun Run, State of the College Address, and more.

To add spice and excitement to the sports events, delegates from Davao del Norte State College, the Local Government Unit of Compostela, and Compostela National High School will join DDOSC employees, alumni, and students in a series of action-packed Basketball, Volleyball, and E-Sports battles.
