GAD Quiz Bee: KnowVAWNow Students’ Category Highlights Campaign to End Violence Against Women
To strengthen awareness and advocacy against violence toward women, the Gender and Development (GAD) Unit organized the GAD Quiz Bee: KnowVAWNow Students’ Category as part of the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), on December 1, 2025 at the DDOSC Audio-Visual Room.
The competition proved to be close and engaging, as students showcased their knowledge and commitment to the advocacy against violence toward women.
Emerging at the top was Sciatzel Thea Sanchez of Montevista Campus, who secured first place with 34 points. She was followed by Jopel Bodongan of Main Campus, who finished second with 32 points, while Evangelyn Ogong of Montevista Campus clinched third place with 31 points.
A tie-breaker round was conducted to determine the third spot among Johmie Rone Carajay, Luwella W. Baron, and Evangelyn Ogong, with Ogong ultimately prevailing to complete the roster of winners.
As part of the continuing campaign, the GAD Quiz Bee: KnowVAWNow Employees’ Category will be held on December 9, 2025, extending the KnowVAWNow initiative to the wider school community.
