23 DdOSC employees join CSC-led Lingkod Bayani Run
Twenty-three teaching and non-teaching personnel of Davao de Oro State College participated in the Lingkod Bayani Run 2026 on September 13, 2026, at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Tagum City, alongside fellow civil servants from across the region.
Part of the series of activities in celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the fun run brought together government employees and running enthusiasts in promoting health, camaraderie, and public service.
Human Resources Management Unit Head Reah C. Niog led the DdOSC contingent, whose members competed in the 3-kilometer, 5-kilometer, and 10-kilometer categories.
“We are happy to show camaraderie with our fellow government workers through this activity while also promoting healthy living and regular exercise,” Niog said.
Other DdOSC officials taking part in the event were Supply and Property Management Unit Head Renato L. Ego-Ogan, Quality Assurance Unit Head Nova Mae B. Nasol, and Cashiering Unit Head Leizel P. Tagra.
Organized by the Civil Service Commission, the annual fun run traces its roots to the “R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run” launched in 2011, which drew 2,822 participants nationwide.
Now in its 15th year, the activity continues to gather government personnel and running enthusiasts nationwide as part of the month-long observance of the PCSA.
DdOSC, meanwhile, will continue its PCSA 2026 activities with the Community Extension Service, Tree-Nurturing Activity, Gawad Lingkod Bayani Regional Qualifiers Awarding, and the PCSA Culmination Program scheduled in the succeeding weeks.
