DdOSC opens 126th PCSA celebration with ball games, TikTok Dance competition

Game on!

This was the battle cry heard by all as Davao de Oro State College opened its celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) on September 11, 2026, at the DdOSC Main Campus in Compostela.

College President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay lit the ceremonial torch, firing the opening salvo for weeks of friendly but spirited competition among the College personnel.

Sports Competitions Committee Head Jojet D. Carmelotes, in his opening message, emphasized the role of the games in fostering camaraderie, wellness, and sportsmanship among civil servants.

Sports Coordinator Jake Andrew D. Colindres, MAEd-PE, then led the oath of sportsmanship as the OOCP Monarchs, OCAF Knights, and OVPAA Blues stepped into the arena for a packed slate of events, including basketball, volleyball, e-sports, chess, pickleball, Scrabble, and other ball and board games.

Before the contests and clashes on the court got underway, College heads and officials signed the Commitment Wall, signifying their support for unity, sportsmanship, and the spirit of public service throughout the celebration.

The OCAF Knights wasted no time making their mark, drawing first blood after capturing the Banner Raising competition.
Not to be outdone, the OOCP Monarchs answered with a winning performance of their own, owning the dance floor and grooving their way to the top spot in the TikTok Dance competition.

With the opening-day honors already split, the battle now shifts to the courts, boards, and gaming stations as competition resumes over the next two Fridays across all DdOSC campuses.

The stakes will rise even higher when the campus champions advance to the College-wide showdown on September 30, 2026, where the strongest contenders will go head-to-head for the final crowns of PCSA 2026.
