From lively club activities in the morning to cowboy hats and western-inspired outfits in the evening, Davao de Oro State College–Main Campus buzzed with life as students gathered for the Club Day and Acquaintance Party 2026 on September 1, 2026, at the DdOSC Main Campus Activity Center.

Organized by the College Student Council (CSC), the back-to-back activities provided students with spaces to discover campus organizations, showcase their creativity, meet fellow DdOSCians, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the College community.

With recognized student clubs bringing their respective identities, advocacies, and activities closer to the student body, the celebration opened with Club Day 2026, anchored on the theme, “Spark Your Potential: Discover, Belong, Become.”

In his opening message, Academic Service Division Director Dr. Pedro P. Raymunde emphasized the importance of finding spaces where students can connect with others and become part of the broader College community.

“You belong in the community of DdOSC. Find a club where your interests and talents can grow, where you can connect with people who share your passions, and where you can contribute something meaningful.” Dr. Raymunde urged the students.

Meanwhile, cheers and bursts of creativity followed and filled the morning program as the different clubs took part in three competitions that tested their teamwork and school spirit: video synthesis, monoblock chair cheering, and table skirting.

When the dust settled, the Criminology Department claimed the championship in the Monoblock Chair Cheering, while Golden Cornucopia emerged as victors in the Video Synthesis competition.

As daylight gave way to evening, the atmosphere shifted from campus-club energy to a western-inspired celebration as students trotted in cowboy hats, boots, denim, and other creative ensembles during the Cowboy Cartier Acquaintance Party.

Carrying the theme, “Where New Faces Meet: Friendships Grow, and Kindred Spirits Ride Together Toward Lasting Connections,” the party transformed the Activity Center into a space for students, particularly those still finding their footing in the College community, to mingle, celebrate, and forge new friendships.

In his message, CSC Governor Jomar M. Hagonoy encouraged students to saddle up for a night of fun, friendship, and connection as they met new people and made lasting memories.

The fashion walk became one of the evening’s main highlights as students strutted their Cowboy Cartier-inspired looks before joining the MTV Spoof Competition, raffle draw, awarding ceremony, and party, keeping the celebration lively well into the night.

Beyond the competitions, cheers, and cowboy-themed revelry, Club Day and the Acquaintance Party gave DdOSCians a chance to find their people, enjoy the campus experience, and create connections beyond the classroom.

Through the twin activities, the institution, through the CSC, continued to foster a student community where DdOSCians could discover their interests, build friendships, and find a place where they belong.
