30 New Leyte SHS studs train on nursery management for project CEST 2025
Thirty senior high school students of New Leyte National High School (NHS) in New Leyte, Maco, Davao de Oro participated in a training on nursery management on August 13, 2026, as part of the Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) Davao de Oro 2025 Project, led by Jerson M. Renegado, MAEE, faculty member of the DdOSC Teacher Education Department, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology XI.
The training was facilitated by former Director for Research and Development Division of DdOSC, Jupite Mark U. Banayag, MSc., who served as the resource speaker.
The activity enhanced the agricultural knowledge and skills of the participants through science- and technology-based approaches to nursery management. It is one component of the CEST 2025 Project’s series of interventions, which also includes the construction of a screen house, training on branding, packaging and good manufacturing practices, costing and marketing, financial management, and project monitoring activities in New Leyte, Maco, Davao de Oro.
