CHED grants Institutional Recognition to DdOSC

Davao de Oro State College received its Certificate of Institutional Recognition from the Commission on Higher Education on September 22, 2026, at the CHED Higher Education Development Center Building in Diliman, Quezon City.
College President Dr. Matunhay personally accepted the certificate on behalf of the College, marking a significant institutional milestone as DdOSC continues to strengthen its compliance with CHED requirements and advance quality public higher education in Davao de Oro.
The recognition confirms DdOSC’s compliance in key areas of institutional evaluation, particularly its mandate and purpose, governance, appropriate facilities, and sustainable operations.
The achievement reflects the collective efforts of the DdOSC Technical Working Group, whose sustained work helped prepare the College for the institutional evaluation and fulfill the requirements for recognition.
DdOSC also acknowledges the support of Hon. Jude A. Acidre, DdOSC Board of Trustees Member and Chair of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education, represented by 1st District of Davao de Oro Representative Hon. Maria Carmen S. Zamora-Mabanglo, MNSA, and CHED Commissioner Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari in advancing the College’s development.
The College likewise recognizes the guidance and assistance of CHED Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance (CHED-OIQAG) Director IV Dr. Lora L. Yusi and CHED Regional Office XI Regional Director Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, in the institutional evaluation process.
Budgeting Unit Head Aimee Lyn Torreon joined Dr. Matunhay during the certificate acceptance, as DdOSC moves forward in its commitment to excellence, integrity, and solidarity in public higher education.
