DdOSC fetes outstanding employees, showcases talents in PCSA Culmination Program
Donning denim-inspired outfits, employees from across Davao de Oro State College gathered for the Culmination Program of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) Celebration at the DdOSC Activity Center on September 30, 2026.
Taking center stage during the evening was the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Awards, which recognized personnel and offices for exemplary performance, dedication, and contributions to the College throughout the year.
Among the institutional awardees were Dr. Jennifer T. Pelegrino, Best Employee – Teaching Category; Eden G. Cubelo, Best Employee – Non-Teaching Category; Lovelene Joy L. Mejarito, Best Employee – Non-Teaching Category for Technical JO/COS; Rosemarie A. Maquilan, Best Employee – Non-Teaching Category for Clerical JO/COS; Manuelo P. Sidayon, Best Employee – Non-Teaching Category for Non-Clerical JO/COS; Dr. Gloryjean C. Altamera, recipient of the Gawad ng Pangulo ng DdOSC; and Stella Marie S. Balili, recipient of the Exemplary Behavior Award.
The College also honored employees who have completed 10 years or more in government, recognizing their sustained dedication and contributions to the public sector.
Among those cited was Dr. Leah R. Guirigay, who marked 15 years as a civil servant.
Meanwhile, guest speaker Judge Jimmy Bustillo Boco, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 2 – Family Court, Tagum City, underscored the vital role of government employees in nation-building and in delivering responsive, ethical, and people-centered public service.
He further emphasized that public service carries both responsibility and accountability, reminding employees that the quality of their work directly contributes to the trust and welfare of the communities they serve.
Beyond the recognition program, the culmination also provided a stage for employees to showcase their talents through the TikTok Dance Craze, Vocal Solo, and Duet Competitions, with representatives from the different branches vying for top honors.
DdOSC Maragusan emerged as the night’s dominant contingent, completing a clean sweep after clinching the championship in all three events.
A dinner and raffle draw capped the evening, bringing the DdOSC community together in a celebration of excellence, talent, camaraderie, and commitment to public service.
The culmination formally closed the College’s month-long observance of the 126th PCSA, highlighting the dedication of its workforce and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to a culture of excellence, integrity, and solidarity.
