The Quality Assurance Unit of Davao de Oro State College (DdOSC) conducted an Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Skills Enhancement Workshop on September 3, 2026, at the Conference Room, Municipal Mayor’s Office of LGU Compostela, as part of the College’s preparations for the 2nd Regular IQA scheduled on September 14-18, 2026, across all DdOSC campuses.

The one-day workshop brought together Internal Quality Auditors (IQAs) and Deputy Quality Management Coordinators (DQMCs) from all DdOSC campuses to enhance their knowledge and competence in conducting effective internal quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.

The sessions, facilitated by Ms. Nova Mae B. Nasol, Quality Management Coordinator; Dr. Leah R. Guirigay, and Mr. Ernan S. Leal, both Administrative Internal Quality Auditors, covered the key stages of the audit process—from pre-audit preparations and audit planning to the conduct of the audit and post-audit activities with practical guidance. Discussions included auditor roles and responsibilities, auditing principles, auditor competence, audit programme and plan, audit checklists, audit methods, gathering of audit evidence, audit questions, audit findings, and post-audit activities.

Participants also took part in hands-on activities on establishing audit checklists and a simulation of the conduct of an audit, providing them with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and techniques discussed during the workshop.

The activity likewise served as a re-echo of the online training course on Auditing ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems attended by the resource persons, further strengthening knowledge sharing and capacity-building among the College’s internal quality audit team.

Through this initiative, DdOSC continues to strengthen its quality management practices and promote a culture of continual improvement and excellence across its campuses.
